In addition to my counseling practice, I work as an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Hunter College, teaching Women's Studies, Abnormal Psychology and Human Sexuality. My research and writing have appeared in numerous academic publications and media outlets. Active in the American Psychological Association, I served on the Board of Directors for the Division of Media Psychology and am currently the Assistant Editor of their publication, The Amplifier.
Approaches to Therapy
Client Centered - I come from a place of no judgment and complete concern for your well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral - Your thoughts can influence your feelings and behaviors. When you learn to think about things in a different way, you can change the way you feel and behave, even if outside forces don't change. I challenge negative thinking patterns that holds people back so they can begin to feel better.
